Excelsior Geyser Crater. The last major eruption of Excelsior Geyser was over a hundred years ago and may have cleared out the throat so well that the pressure is unable to build up. A minor eruption occured in 1985 but Excelsior has been quietly pumping out hot water since at a rate of over 4000 gallons per minute. The impressive crater is wider than a football field is long.
